i.i. part II.
”where is everybody”

Philémon Otth & Arnaud Wohlhauser
20 January 2017, 17:00 - 19:00

A voyager from a distant planet crashed on Earth in prehistoric times. He is the only survivor with the exception of a robot, half-machine, half-human which becomes his sole companion on this foreign soil. This artificial intelligence has been specifically programmed to endlessly support and feed their debates, as a pitiless and infallible interlocutor. Days after days, the two protagonists find themselves trapped in their conversations with no way out, challenging each other with questions on consciousness and repetition, loneliness and beliefs.

* i.i. is an ongoing collaborative work between Philémon Otth and Arnaud Wohlhauser drawn upon L’insupportable interlocuteur(1956/1964), a russian sci-fi novel written by Guennadi Gor. The first version of the project appeared as a performance on August 20th 2016, at the Zunfthaus Voltaire, Cabaret der Künstler, Manifesta 11 in Zurich. Where is everybody at the Tank is its second occurrence.
